How Long Does It Take for RJW Amazon PPC Management to Show Results?

Generally, with all brands new to RJW we start on a 3-month minimum period in order to ensure sufficient time to optimise your current campaigns, create our own unique RJW ads and have enough time with the account to allow for our newly introduced strategies to mature under constant RJW analysis and supervision to see the desired results. However, as is clear from many of our client account case studies, many accounts experience very large sales and profitability increases within just a few days.

Should I Advertise on Amazon?

In our opinion every brand looking to scale should be using Amazon advertising.

Do you need more visibility? You should advertise on Amazon.

Do you need more sales? You should advertise on Amazon.

Do you need higher ranking for your products? You should advertise on Amazon.

Without Amazon ads a brand’s ability to increase sales and or visibility is almost completely taken away, assuming their listings are fully optimised (which is more or less a one-time thing in any case). Amazon ads are the easiest and fastest way to grow an amazon brand when managed correctly.

Think about it. How without running ads on amazon are you able to significantly increase sales, visibility and organic ranking continually for several months in a row for the same ASIN?

How does Amazon PPC work?

Amazon PPC refers to advertising products on Amazon. This advertising of products gives a brand the ability to have their products shown higher in the search results through paid placements. These placements are chosen by the brand owner based on what type of ads they choose to run, such ad sponsored product ads, brand ads or display ads, and what keywords or other targets are chosen. When your ad is clicked by a customer who has searched a keyword that your product advertisement is targeting, you will be charged a fee for that click. Hence the term PPC or “pay per click” advertising. These ads have the ability to increase a product’s visibility, and therefore also its sales, on Amazon.

Does Advertising on Amazon boost a listing’s organic ranking?

Amazon don’t release the details of their algorithms directly. However, we can confidently make a few observations about how products are ranked on Amazon. Products that get great sales are generally ranked higher on the platform because these products are clearly relevant and in demand. Therefore, if you can advertise your product for a relevant keyword which provides you with a increase in sales, a good CTR (click through rate) and CR (conversion rate) this will show Amazon that your product is relevant for that keyword, and worth showing to more customers higher in the search results.

If your product doesn’t sell, why would Amazon rank it higher in the search results? All you are showing amazon with a product that doesn’t sell is that customers don’t want your product and that it isn’t relevant for the keywords you are targeting in your listing.

So, how do we rank higher on amazon for multiple top search terms? More sales. How do we get more sales? Amazon PPC advertising when used and managed effectively.

Why should you use an Amazon PPC management agency?

If you are managing the advertising for your own brand currently, you are making a huge mistake. As the brand owner – the entrepreneur at the helm of the business – you are the only one that can drive the business forward. That is what your time should be spent on, not managing keywords, bidding and budgets for Amazon ad campaigns. Your time is more valuable to your brand doing tasks that only you can do.

With an experienced Amazon PPC management agency like RJW running the PPC ads for your brand on your behalf not only will you be buying back your own time, which is priceless, you will also very likely achieve much better sales and profitability than when your ads were self-managed.

Here at RJW we are so confident in our abilities that we guarantee our results. So not only can your brand achieve better sales and profitability using an agency in most cases, but you can also take back a huge portion of your time that you can use to grow the brand, knowing your advertising is in safe hands with regular updates and communication.

How much should I spend on Amazon PPC ads?

There is no right or wrong answer here. At RJW our advertising spend will vary day to day, based on campaign performance. If campaigns are preforming well and the brand owner is happy with the profitability it makes sense to increase budgets, thereby increasing exposure and sales as much as possible. This works well so long as it is not cannibalising organic sales. Just like your sales, a campaign’s ACOS will vary from day to day, so we like to always check campaign budgets multiple times per day, adjusting when needed to either reduce budgets for poor preforming campaigns, or increasing budgets for better preforming campaigns. A campaign can easily have an average 10% ACOS over a week period, but can also hit above 15% on a certain day, in which case we may reduce the budget on that day. Ultimately, how much you spend on ads is down to your goals, campaign performance and your profitability targets.
